Siewert & Kau Signs New Distribution Agreement with DynaScan Technology

Siewert & Kau, a specialist in IT distribution with added value, is expanding its range of professional display solutions with products from DynaScan Technology. The American manufacturer is known in the market for its particularly bright LCD screens, which are suitable for indoor use, and in particular for the outdoor area. The complete range of DynaScan Technology is now available through Siewert & Kau.

Special requirements for outdoor installations
Whether in airports, shopping malls or train stations – in almost every situation today consumers come into contact with digital signage (DS). Retailers, in particular, use high-performance display solutions to direct their customers’ attention to the shop window – and the trend is rising. This is also confirmed by a forecast from IHS Markit, according to which the worldwide market for professional DS solutions will continue to rise by 12.9 percent per year. Already today, LCD screens in the (semi) outdoor area are indispensable. Places that are completely or only partially outdoors, due to the high light radiation make special demands on the brightness of these displays.

The Sun Won’t Outshine These Digital Signs; Increased Brightness Levels Make Them Easy to See

Digital signs are appearing anywhere these days, no matter whether it’s outdoors with full sunlight or in a store window with glare from the sun. There are a lot of specs bandied about when it comes to digital signage and video displays–sampling rate, ultra-high definition, 4K, high dynamic range (HDR), you name it. However, companies that really want to get the most bang for their digital signage buck ought to be paying more attention to nits.

By increasing the brightness level, the integrity of the information on the sign remains clear, as do colors and interactive features.

Our friends at Commercial Integrator have put together a free white paper, “5 Benefits of High-Brightness LCD and LED Digital Signage,” which explains that this visibility is achieved with levels ranging from 3,000 to 7,000 nits, a numerical value used to measure brightness.

Find out how these new, bright digital signs save energy, are easy to operate and the other unique features that make them a great solution for information displays.

A1 Stuns Passersby with Augmented Reality Bus Shelter Advertising

In early 2017, Si.mobil, Telekom Austria Group’s subsidiary in Slovenia, transformed into A1 Slovenija to consolidate the Group’s Austrian subsidiary. The company chose JCDecaux to strengthen their market position.

To highlight this new beginning and convey the brand’s inspiring larger-than-life attitude, advertising agency Grey Ljubljana worked with system integrator Europlakat JCDecaux Slovenia to position A1 Slovenija as a spark that lights up the imagination and creates real experiences with the slogan, “A1. The start of something amazing.”

The launch was supported by a special city light on the busiest promenade in the center of the capital. It featured elements from the TVC that were brought to life using augmented reality. A series of amazing animations were ingrained into the environment, taking advantage of the street layout and surprising passersby with stunning visual and audio effects.

By utilizing a depth and light sensor, augmented reality was used to bring animals to life by combining the real street background with animations that were programmed to adapt to the changing environment, creating an amazing experience for the onlookers and generating numerous social media impressions along the way.

The advertising campaign, which won JCDecaux’s Innovate Campaign of the Month, ran for two weeks on the bus shelter at Ljubljana, Slovenska street, utilizing a 75″ 2500 nit ultra-high brightness LCD by DynaScan Technology.

It is estimated that the campaign garnered over 70,000 additional Facebook page views for A1.
