JEA and Urban Intelligence Make Ultimate Outdoor Television with DynaScan High Brightness LCDs

Our friends Down Under, JEA Technologies, recently were involved in an amazing residential installation in the backyard of one Australian resident.  Working with audio/visual specialists Urban Intelligence, the companies put together a 3×3 video wall consisting of nine 55″ high brightness LCDs, model DS55LT6, to create a massive 166″ outdoor television. A daylight viewable brightness of 5,000 nits means video can be seen day or night – even in direct sunlight. With video wall functions built-in, the screens can be connected to an A/V receiver with a standard Full HD 1080p connection.

To protect the screens, Urban Intelligence sourced a glass panel that automatically rolls away when the television is turned on, and then rolls back into position when the not in use to shield it from rain and dust.

DynaScan Releases Updated 65-inch High Brightness LCD with Brighter 3,000-nit Image, New Features

Today, DynaScan Technology introduced a new version of its 65-inch high brightness LCD, the DS651LR4. The new professional display includes a multitude of new features including a brighter 3,000 nit image, lower power consumption and a wide range of video input resolutions.

The new display boasts an increased brightness rating of 3,000 nits, making it ideal for large scale display applications in bright environments such as outdoor enclosures and storefront windows. The display features a dynamic local dimming LED back light.  Darker areas of an image receive less backlighting than lighter areas resulting in a remarkably high contrast picture as high as 1,000,000:1 (dynamic). Despite an increase in brightness, the DS651LR4 consumes up to 20% less power than its predecessor.

JEA Exhibiting DynaScan High Brightness Displays at Integrate Expo 2013

Australian channel partner, JEA Technologies, will be exhibiting a variety of DynaScan professional high brightness displays at InfoComm’s Integrate Expo, taking place 27-29 August at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre. Now in its fifth year and incorporating the CEDIA Asia Pacific, Integrate 2013 is a trade only event for the professional, commercial and residential AV IT industry, and is geared for Australasian professionals and end users working in the AV, entertainment and IT industries.

On display will be the new 72″ 5000 nit ultra high brightness LCD with Narrow Bezel, model DS72LT6. JEA will also be showing the 55″ 5000 nit, DS55LT6 and 47″ 2500 nit DS47LT4.  The high brightness displays are ideal for applications in high ambient light locations such as storefront windows and outdoor kiosks.

City Digital Media Creates DynaScan Powered Interactive Kiosks for Uptown Shopping Center, Victoria

Vancouver based City Digital Media recently completed the construction, integration and installation of two interactive kiosks for Uptown in Victoria, Canada. Uptown is an upscale open air center, offering 860,000 square feet of sophisticated open-air shopping, Class A office space, stylish restaurants and amenities.  The interactive kiosks provide mall visitors with an engaging wayfinding tool and provides the shopping center with additional information and advertising opportunities.

DynaScan High Brightness Display Powers BOCA Center Interactive Directory

Florida’s The Shops at Boca Center recently finished the addition of an outdoor interactive directory kiosk featuring a DynaScan high brightness display.  The Shops at Boca Center is an upscale shopping center offering everything from the latest designer and European fashions for men and women, to fabulous footwear, eyewear & accessories, to unique gifts for the home.

The directory is part of an overhaul of the shopping center’s courtyard area and features a 47” touchscreen built into a custom outdoor kiosk enclosure located at the front of Boca Center’s entrance, facing Military Trail. The kiosk provides visitors of all ages with information about the shops and restaurants located at Boca Center, a directory of the businesses in Boca Center’s three office buildings, as well as updates about upcoming events, deals and specials.
